COPO,thanks for your help,I posted on TAG TEAM today.the car won best in show at the latest chev show(150 cars)in Adelaide,South Australia.i made a typo on the paint,it is cranberry red.

I recently purchased a 70 SS chevelle that was apparently exported brand new to australia.The original build sheet came with the car.It is running a NOM 454 but has correct numbers intake and oval...

my 70 LS-5 chevelle has the no. 102251 SD stamped on the block.can anyone tell me if this is the original block for this car.I believe it was exported new to australia.vin 136370L186005. ...

joe,the block is brand new.it has 'yenko' in raised letters top of block (drivers side)by water pump.the letters SYHO are stamped above the crank on both sides on the front of the block. freeze plugs...
