Belair:

I'm sorry but I did not ask Vince about the 69 chevelles. I spoke to him about 1 1/2 years ago before I bought my 69 camaro.

Re: Hmmmmmm.....

Brian:

I believe that in conversations with Vince Emme he told me that 100-110 69 Yenko's were located and he thought that 1/4 to 1/3 had the original motors.

Joe:
My friend agrees with you.

An interesting story...COPO's or?

A car show friend of mine and his father worked at the GM Van Nuys plant for years.
He tells this story and remembers it vividly because it was so unusual.
Sometime in the 1968 model run several...

Re: High School Hot Rods

Thinking of my high school and college cars makes me sad.
First I had a 67 RS Camaro 4 speed 327. I loved it, it was a joy to own and operate.

Mine are not centered vertically.
They are "laying" on the curved portion of the hood where the hood and raised cowl meet. This leaves approx. 1/2 inch space at the top of the cowl portion.

Re: '68 Yenko, Transplant vs. COPO

It reads to me like GM is testing Yenko's car for Yenko at Yenko's cost. It doesn't seem to shed any light to me on the transplant or GM produced issue. Yenko wouldn't have had equipment to do the...

Re: Speedvision story on 67 Nickey Camaro

Personally I don't remember anything about a yellow block...and my info has no pictures.

I believe the "yellow" story was started by Charley in order to make all his yellow cars more valuable.
