'69 L78 Chevelle performance in 1/4 mi + top speed

Any of you have published results for a '69? Working on a special project and I need it most ricky-tick! Would prefer a close ratio 4 spd, but will take what I get.

Thanks!

Thanks Rick. That is on the right track. I do need '69 data though. I am surprised to see the vehicle weight of 4530 lbs! That seems a tad heavy.

That's including the driver they say.
Factory Curb weight was 4160lbs.
Car had a few added options too.

"That's including the driver they say".

That driver must have been as big as me.... However I could have gotten much better times than that big feller. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

------Rick,,,"Red Alert" weighed 3980 with power windows, Even with the heater assembly and wiper motor gone, the addition of the 6-point and driveshaft loop more than made up for that. Oh,,,I believe that was with a full fuel cell and no light weight body parts whatsoever. Now that Im thinking about it that was over the scales at the track on the return road. That would have meant that my heavy ass was also figured in there somewhere. Whoa!!!......Bill S

Our '69 was pretty low option and weighed right on 3700 lb. with half tank of gas and no one in the car. A lot of options could add quite a bit to the vehicles final weight. The parts catalogue shows weights of various options to be used to calculate which springs you would need. 300 pounds of options added up pretty quickly. Tuning alone could probably knock a second off the as delivered times.
