QUESTION ABOUT RADIATOR PETCOCK

I know this may seem really "anal" but is there a radiator drain petcock that would be "technically correct" for a 1970 Nova SS Big Block Radiator. If anyone can post a picture that would be great...

I need one for my radiator which was just repaired and repainted. I went to NAPA and they have some but they have the flat head on them. Don't know if the tec. correct ones had the flat head or the longer, tubular looking head..

Thanks Guys.. Rich

I believe that the 'flutes' should face the engine, not the radiator. (at least for the circa 1968)

Re: QUESTION ABOUT RADIATOR PETCOCK

Here are two pictures of original petcocks, one restored, one as removed. You can see a slight flute at the end. Also the T-handle faces out. The big vendors and even NAPA in their "HELP" packs sell a very close unit, but the handle is 180 out. Why my camera is so bad I don't know, but I apologize...BKH

Thanks Brian.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

I ended up ordering one from Rick's Camaro parts. It came last night and I put it in today. It looks like the restored one above but I think your right the handle is 180 off if I remember without going back out to the garage and looking at it.. It will do the job for me & looks good...

Thanks again fellas... Rich https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
