70 Camaro Z28
I am looking at buying a 70 Z28 Norwood 5/70 build date car. Where should the car vin number be stamped on the engine block in front of the head behind the alternator or by the oil filter?

Re: 70 Camaro Z28
It should be on the pad behind the alternator. If your deal falls through on the car you're looking at, I also have one for sale:

Rick,
Randy`s Camaro is truly a one of a kind. Dan. |
Re: 70 Camaro Z28
70 Norwood Z-28 will have VIN stamped into lower left bellhousing flange, vertically in the rough casting, starting with 10N5XXXXX
VIN will also be on right/rear side of trans case close to assy date. |

[/ QUOTE ] Thanks Chuck that is where I thought the numbers should be. Randy's green Z28 looks like a nice car. Is that a factory Copo big rear spoiler car? |

The build sheet has D80 listed so the car came with the short spoiler originally. Keep us informed if you buy the car you're looking at and remember to post pictures! |
