Camaro Speedometer/Fuel Gauge Cleaning Tips

Any tips and suggested products for cleaning the gauges out of my 69 Camaro. I am installing a new dash carrier and want to clean up my gauges, but don't want to goof it up or mess up the existing back paint etc. It appears they have a few finger prints from previous handling. Thanks.

I use a 1" paint brush to clean guages and speedometers. Just want to remove dust and dont want to leave any fingerprints or smears. I never used chemicals because I was afraid of removing paint and lettering. I have used flourescent model car spray paint to get the needles back to presentable though.

I use a very soft detail brush thats been used with Pledge many many times. Do not use a wet brush. It will smear the surface. Just use an old clean dusting brush. There will be enough polish/wax on it to spiff up or clean the surface without wiping anything off.
