 Labor Day Cruise

Just thought I'd share a few shots from the weekend, small show with just over 100 cars.
First is the resurected, one of one, sliced and diced "Z Rod". http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07003.jpg This car was built a long time ago by a guy in Newark, Ohio and it used to run 10.30s at National Trails. It was destroyed in a fire about 6 or 7 years ago, and is now back with a vengance. From a distance it looks like one of those toy cars that guys put on their air cleaners. It's about 1/2 the size of a normal Camaro, it's all steel and he figures that it should run in the high 9's now. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07004.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07002.jpg Next is a real nice Ram Air Judge http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07005.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07021.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07020.jpg |

Lastly, a few that you don't see very often:
Shelby GT 350 H http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07009.jpg 1941 Vintage Caddy coupe, this thing is enormous! http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07008.jpg Sweet '54 pickup http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07014.jpg Custom '55 Ford. The pink doesn't show up well, sorta like the orange that looks red. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07016.jpg Last one, a '59 Ambassador that's really sharp, even if it's not a muscle car. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...n9-2-07019.jpg Why do people put stuffed animals on their car's motor? Or other stuff that has nothing to do with the car? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif Hope everyone had a great holiday. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |

Rob, I wouldn't get in that thing if you gave me the winning numbers for the next lotto drawing. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
Believe it or not, it's street legal, and he drove it to and from Newark, about 20-25 miles each way. This thing is radical. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif He said the last thing he's going to do to it is replace the 10 bolt with a 9" Ford. He's afraid that the rear isn't strong enough for the motor. (Ya think?) https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif Then he's going to take it to Trails. I want to be the benificiary on his life insurance. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif |
