What color should the stripes be on a 69 Z28, frost green, no vinyl top, green interior? Black, or white? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Could be any of three choices; Black, White, NONE.

A friend of mine just sold an early build car exactly as you describe, originally a Frost Green/green gut/no stripe.

Personal preference: I like the contrast the Black gives.

I believe black, the only exception was if it had a white vinyl top.

I have pictures of an original paint 69 JL8 RS Z28 triple green that had black stripes on it from the factory

I was specifically stating stripe color for frost green. Fathom green stripes were always white. Rally green also had white stripes without a vinyl top. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif What color green are referring to??

I had thought, perhaps incorrectly, that unless you had a blk vinyl top, you got white stripes. Most hugger orange Z's I've seen had white with no blk top. Blk top, blk stripes. I find nothing on the trim tag with this car to tell me either way. I would think there was something that kicked it one way, or another. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

I had a Frost Green on dark green SS that came with the black hockey stripes. Paceme is correct. Only white vinyl roof Frost Green cars got the white stripes. I believe this rule also applied to Frost Green cars with white interiors.

As Schonyenko2 says, it is opposite to the HO cars. If you bought a Hugger Orange car, it received white stripes. Hugger Orange cars only received black stripes when it also came with a black vinyl roof.
