Re: 837 alt on E Pay
Would someone be willing to PM or e-mail me and give me a crash course in how to spot these as a re-stamp?
Carbs I can spot a mile away...alternators and distributors, not so much. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif Eric |
Re: 837 alt on E Pay
first thing you check is the stamping date, all the 837's were batch made and have specific dates (unfortunately these dates are getting pretty well known).Jeff Dotterer at Dated Components and John Pirkle are well known authorities. Usually the isssue is with the "7" in 837 it has a distinct look to it (usually not very clean). If you look at that "837" on Ebay and look at all the different 7's, you will see they are not the same. The Restampers are getting better everyday, hope this helps
