ebay ls-6

Check out ebay auction # 270135214899. I owned that car from 1999-2005 and there was no build sheet ANYWHERE on that car. In fact the original build sheet was stolen off of the dash the day that I bought it from the Super Chevy Show in Joilet,Il. I was always very sure of the name of the guy that stole it because he was mad that I outbid him on the car.I even called him to say that there was a reward for the build sheet if it showed up, no questions asked, but never heard anything. In 2005 I sold the car on ebay,a guy from Indiana{birdwell} who frequents this site as well as the Chevelle site placed the winning bid. When the cashiers check arrived it was signed by the same guy who I had believed to have stolen the sheet. Then a guy from Joliet{stephen mercer} shows up to pick the car up. Now it shows up on ebay with a supposed original build sheet,it's either a bogus sheet or the thief did indeed buy it.I called the guy selling the car, says his name is Tony.He said that he bought the car 2 years ago{from mercer} and it came with the build sheet then.I am doubtful of his story because a title search that I did on the car shows it has been with the guy that bought it off of me for the last 2 years. Tony then tells me that Mr. Mercer may have moved out of the state. So as you guys can see something really stinks here and I am not about to let it go.

Nice car. What was it like shifting with a short shifter with a bench seat?

Looks like someone pulled a fast one on you.. If the cashiers check had the guys name on it that you thought stole the sheet to begin with Id probably say there is a pretty good chance he bought it or had a buddie pick it up??? As for a title serch that doesnt mean anything alot of guys dont register there cars.. keep them on old titles or maybe he has a dealers licence

Shifting was nice w/ the short shifter. For some unknown reason the post on the Team Chevelle site has disappeared??? I talked to the guy who is selling the car again tonight.Sounds like he got a little burnt on the car as well when he bought it 2 years ago. Wish Mr Mercer or Mr Valentino would let us know where there got the build sheet for the car?

I know Tony (seller) and he is a stand up guy! He does have the build sheet and is telling the real story on the car. Believe me he doesnt need to lie to sell a car and surely doesnt need the money.

I have dealt with Tony in the past. Sold him an LS5 Chevelle back in 05. It was a straight forward deal to what seamed to be a very straight forward guy.

Tony, did you ever get that LS5 done. I'd love to see some pictures of it.
