68 Nova strg column sticker
1 Attachment(s)
On my 68 nova there was a sticker at the bottom that a 2 letter code "TI" and a part # 780378. Does anybody have a parts book listing that would designate what the application was?

Re: 68 Nova strg column sticker
That's the part number & suffix code for the steeing column jacket assembly itself.
It looks like your last digit has worn off as it should be a 7 digit number. The three 1968 Chevy II steering column possibilities were: Column #7803781-Column shift with Auto. Trans. Column #7803782-Floor Shift Column #7803783-Column shift W/O Auto. Trans. Rick |
Re: 68 Nova strg column sticker
Thanks Rick, I was hoping the TI on the column would make it more specific and designate 400T or powerglide.

Re: 68 Nova strg column sticker
I don't see any difference in the steering column used on either of those two transmissions, unless it was floor shifted.

Re: 68 Nova strg column sticker
This was the number on my 68 nova steering column TK 7803782. I was told it was manual steering floor shift. Which was exactly what was in my car.

There are different slots and stops (internal) for a auto column vs a manual on the column.
