Fine Scratches In Chrome
Is there any product out there that will buff out small scratches in chrome.I got my old truck back today from the dealer and it seems the boys used my front bumper as a step to work on the engine. The grit on the bottom of their shoes have left a lot of small scratches I would like to polish out.Of course they say it was like that when it came in. Not.
I have not had any luck with the common products so an hoping someone can assist. Thanks For the help Joe https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif |

This is not good. When you guys have no solution.Dam. Looks like they scratched the chrome grill also with their zippers.
Not a good day. What about rubbing compound will that work |
Re: Fine Scratches In Chrome
The only advice I can give is go back and voice your complaint with the service manager.....This is totaly unacceptable from a dealership. This is why they make fender covers and step stools.....I had the service manager out and scrubbing grease off my seats after a bad service call...It should look like it did when you brought it in...How's the rest of their work? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

Open your mouth. Go in there are raise hell.
I just got my BMW back from the mechanic and his guys stained my floor mats with oil. A simple piece of plastic or paper would have prevented this. I had him factor out the price of the new mats from the total bill. Do you have any photo proof? Some detailed photos of before/after? Carelessness in the work place. What a shame. |
Re: Fine Scratches In Chrome
I recommend HAPPICH SIMICHROME POLISH
It works great on polishing out scratches & scuffs, while shining anything to it's ultimate beauty. It's expensive, but worth it over the others to me as I've tried them all. |
Re: Fine Scratches In Chrome
Thanks Guys for the feedback. I will not get anywhere with the dealer. I tried. They just see a 20 year old truck and roll their eyes. It is a mint original paint 20 year old truck however that had perfect chrome before going for a inspection sticker.
Rick that is the stuff I could not get the name of. I heard about a product the boys use on their bikes and this is it. I hope I can get it in canada. They told me it is unreal.I am going to try the bike shops first. thanks again Joe |

Mac, file a complaint with the DMV or whatever agency controls repair shops...I assume they are licensed in Canada...also contact the local Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, Attorney General, etc...if they get hit with inquiries from seveal of these at once....you might be surprisd how fast they step up...give it a shot..
wilma ...or better yet, hire Al and Jesse to protest out in front of the place...you'll get a new truck!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif |

If not maybe I will protest.NAAA. Brother buys three trucks every two years for his business which they have got for many years. I don't think they have made the connection we are brothers.Think I will take his Avalance in for the next oil change that may wake them up. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif |

I would not have believed it. I am sold on it now. Thanks again for the help.Yes she is just a old dodge but a 17,000 km original paint old dodge that I try my best to keep mint. She is driven every day and just to still be here after seeing 18 Nova Scotia winters says a lot. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gifhttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...s/106_1916.jpg |
