Fuel pump rebuild

I need to get the fuel pump for the 70 Z28 rebuilt. I called Goulds, they don't rebuild the crimped bowl type. Anybody know who does?

How 'bout letting us know what you find out? I have a couple of those crimped bowl pumps I'd like to salvage if possible. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

We had 5 or 6 L78 pumps redone by them last year...good job..not fast...they do not refinish the cast aluminum top part of the pump....you have to tape it off and lightly blast or use a paint like the eastwood cast aluminum finish..I have installed several on the Novas and they look good and work fine.

Tom,
Do they reuse the original bottom canister? I'm in a unique position here, trying to retain an original patina on one of these. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif

Re: Fuel pump rebuild

I called Goat Hill and spoke to the owner, Paul Baker. They do rebuild them, but about 70% of the time, the original cannister is destroyed when they remove it. He has a special fixture for removing them. If the original is torn, he will install a newly built and plated one. If the cannister is not torn when they remove it, he will reuse it, but he does not replate it, so it will look as it did when he received it. As it turned out, he had a new one to sell me and he also had a 270 coil I need at a decent price. He seems like a pretty good guy. Thanks for the lead on them.
