First of all I would like to say Hi. I am new to the site, but my brother actually posted pictures of our B/M 'equipped' Vette. It was the Red with black stripe 71'. Well anyway, I have a question with the valve covers. First of all when my father purchased the valve covers for his car he spent a lot of money for them at a local swap meet, yet now they are on ebay constantly. How do I know if I have an original set, or a knock off set? I heard that they should be chrome? yet i never saw a chrome set anywhere. Can anyone help me out? I can show pictures of mine if it would help.

I remember your brother posting the pics of that red BM "tribute" vette. Lets see pics of the valve covers with detail in the area where the Motion labels were stuck on.
and yes there is a lot of repro junk on Ebait.
