Super T 10 close 4 -groves input
 

Hi I am looking for this 4 speeds Borg warner Super T 10
has 288 1st gear with 4 or 5 groves on the input shaft.
If you know where i can buy one ,or leads i would appreicate it . call 650 921-6057 Joe

I might have one of those. Will look when I go to where it is stored. Nice shape too. I will take down numbers and maybe take pics. I am in SoCal.

I have an NOS 1979 Borg Warner "PowerBrute", that I might consider selling? It is a 2.88 1st. gear. 0 miles, never in a car. The tag reads BW-AS9-T10Y. Here is some info. on them, and a link to more info.

Aftermarket for GM AS9-T10 "Power Brute" with iron case and nickel gears

Borg-Warner also sold a version of this transmission through speed shops under the "Power Brute" name. It had a 904 nodular iron case and 9310 Nickel alloy gears. The gears can be identified by a small dimple drilled into the side of each gear. Most of these version were designed primarily for drag racing and had a very low first gear. The theory at the time was to use the low first gear to launch a car quickly.
