New trim tags on Ebay

I just came accross this on Ebay. This crap really pisses me off....it is ruining the muscle car hobby and making it more difficult to know weather or not a car is really legit.

If you did not like that, then you REALLY won't like this:

It figures....same son of a bitch turning out the fake trim tags. 10 bucks a letter to stamp them too. Isn't there some law that would prevent him from doing this???

He has been doing this for many years to the vet boys, just expanded to include the rest of the chevys when the vet business declined.It is only going to get worse in my mind as more and more repo parts become available.

well that certainly could explain why we have two ZL1#66!
obviously changing your tags info is illegal, but is the supplier of the tags guilty or just the car owner? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

here's the sellers response when I asked him if it were legal to change the tags;

"Item: 69 70 71 72 chevy SS camaro Z28 chevelle paint trim tag (250066999325)
This message was sent while the listing was active.
howard9101 is the seller.

That's true. The VIN plate is a different story.

THose are being offered by Bill Clement, of older Cherycraft fame from Lubbock, TX. He also does VIN tags, but at least ebay won't let those be listed!

I'll never figure out why he's not in jail by now. His history of doing stuff like that goes back 20 years! Anybody remember the "Attention bottom feeders" ads in Hemmings????
