NHRA new location

As of Tuesday August29th NHRA has decided to move the Pontiac Excitement Nationals from Kirkersville ( Columbus ) Ohio to Norwalk Ohio home of the IHRA this sucks because I live 15 minutes from the track. It has been there for approx. 42 years, I went ther as a kid with my dad and now I take my son. I do agree that Norwalk is 20 times better than Kirkersville. The track is also faster. I can see how NHRA wants to appeal to the masses, but it is funny that they have to rent their competitors track. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

Why do you think its a bad thing to bring the Spring Nats. to Norwalk? Growing up in the Medina-Brunswick area, I think its great to bring the big guns back to Norwalk.

I remember when all the big guys would show for the IHRA World finals, back in the late 80s. I havent been to Norwalk since I moved to Florida in 1994, looking forward to going back on our summer visits

Now I am planning a trip home for the Spring Nats. around the date

national trails is a dump, and NHRA will probably sell the track to devellopers.
the new track being built in mansfield next year will give Norwalk a run for their money, since IHRA will sanction it.

I agree National Trails is DATED, I have been spoiled for over 35 years, since I live so close that is why I did not want them to leave I am greedy https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif John Force may have had something to do with it, because he is very tight with the people from Norwalk Raceway.

National Trail is not very spectator friendly. I like the fact at Norwalk you are right on the track and Bader puts on a great show. As far as the Mansfield track, the IHRA will always be the minor leagues. This is why Norwalk switched.
