Original Packard plug wires...
1 Attachment(s)
The lower wire is a repo, The upper was sold to me as an original. Which is correct? The "original" has no Packard logo but does have some type of lightning bolt that the repo wire does not. There also other slight differences. Can anyone clarify which is correct or if the upper wire is actually an original? Thanks!

Re: Original Packard plug wires...
All the wires that I remember pulling off of motors had the lightning bolt. I never remember them having a round logo like the lower one.

Re: Original Packard plug wires...
I'm no expert on these, but your upper wire reflects the original design/font perfectly.
The bottom one looks wrong for that period, and may be a Taiwan knock off. If your upper isn't authentic, then this may be one of the few parts a manufacturer actually took the time to reproduce accurately. |

Re: Original Packard plug wires...
I have two sets of NOS wires, one set date for 1968 is the same as the one in the photo with the logo. The other set is dated for 1975 and has the lightning bolt. Both appear correct for delco. I'd say the 69's probably had the logo vs the lightning bolt.
I have an original set pulled from a 69, as soon as I can find them, I'll post the result. Woj |

I have an original set of Delco spark plug wires from a 1969 L78 Camaro. I was the original owner and these were removed years ago. I have included an attached file as I don't know how post a picture in the text. If additional information is needed please let me know.

The original Delco wires are not for sale. Sorry

Re: Original Packard plug wires...
Both those wires are reproduced and quite correctly by Lectric Limited. The upper "lightning bolt" wire identifies a higher temp jacket used by Packard and was introduced in '65 with the BBs and used into the mid '70's. The lower pictured wire was used for all SB applications.
