Diverter Valve Restoration
 

I have a 29297 Big Block Diverter Valve that needs restoration. Who can do it and about how much do they charge for re-plating, etc. Thanks,

Bill Hodel did my 295 diverter for $425.

Maybe Brian Henderson will share his restorer....

Bill Hodel was using Don Dorfman to restore his diverter valves, when Don was doing them direct it was $275. Don restores them to a work of art, but you have to understand that the valve won't be any nicer (other than plating) than when it went in (if it's pitted, it won't come back looking NOS)

Scott Tiemann of Supercar Specialties did a very nice cosmetic restoration of a 295 valve for me and it was less than half of Hodel's price listed above.

Don Dorfman apparently works ONLY through Hodel, who adds his markup to the cost of resto by Don.

Last time I talked with Jerry MacNeish, he wasn't restoring diverters.

We do cosmetic restoration of the valves with the correct cyanide cadiumn finish, also Brake Boosters, Caliper mounting brackets and backing plates.
