Help with 12 bolt id.
 

I have a 12 bolt under a 67 gto I just bought today. It has codes cf 111-7. Can anyone id this for me. thanks

I believe there should be more numbers and letters. If it looked something like this: CF-11 17 G1 with an E underneath. Then it would be a 12-bolt from a 1965 Chevelle with positraction and 3.31:1 gears, built in November 17. The letter G (or B or W) would be the plant code, 1 would be the first shift and E (or D) would be the positraction source.
So get under that GTO and see what more you can find. Also get the castingnumbers and dates on the centersection to make sure everything is correct.
