Other than the Hot Rod test car there is no reason to believe there were two styles. Maybe a few early cars had the '68 rear stripe layout.

I have owned several early 69's that had the narrow stripe layout on the rear. I don't remember the build dates though...Is your car one that might still have traces of orig. paint that you can look at ?

My 10C LOS Z has the 68 narrow spoiler as well as stripes-
I think that was just git er done to blow out old inventory

I've only personally seen the narrow stripes on early 69 LOS Z's. Not to say they weren't on NOR cars, but I've never seen one.
