Title Service in Nevada -

Has anyone used this service before?

http://www.its-titles.com/

Reason i asked - good friend's father is the original owner and has original title for a 1964 Porsche 356 C mint condition. They want to transfer this car to his daughter but want to also retain the original title in their possession. They have been told the orig title increases the value of the car, or does it?? Sooo, I'm looking for advise to provide them....
1. How to transfer the car and retain the original title
2. The service I listed above - has anyone use them - ligit business?
3. Other options that you would recommend?

Appreciate the advise.

...or he could apply for duplicate title from Nevada DMV by completing a form and waiting 4-6 weeks for Carson City to mail him the new title.

The owner can retain the original title by requesting a duplicate title from their state DMV by indicating the title was "lost". They would then transfer the car to the daughter with the duplicate title and then she can file for a new title in her name and turn in the duplicate title to DMV. I don't think you will need the service in this case. This method might not work in all states but I know for a fact it has been used sucessfully.

If the above suggestions don't work you could consider the following. If the car is in mint condition it may not be a driven car and therefore does not need to be title transferred, registered, and tagged. You could just have the father sign off on the back of the title with no other info included (i.e. his daughters name) and then the daughter could just tuck away the title in a safe place.

Yes good advise, i like the lost title approach myself and of course the signed title transferred. I don't know if they want to transfer the car before something happens to the parents whom are in their high 80's to avoid any issues with the inheritance etc....

What about the service mentioned above from NEV...does that sound legit??
