67 RS/SS Conv 396/325hp M20-4 speed
 

i was wondering how many of these cars were manufactured? The info sheet from G.M. Canada says that there was 1,325 of that model number imported into Canada, does that mean convertibles with the same options or just convertibles.Is this car fairly rare, what is it worth? Is this car considered a musclecar or supercar?

There are no numbers for option combinations from Chevrolet. However, in 1967 Chevrolet produced only 4003 SS396/325 (L35) Camaros, and 1453 Camaros with the M40 Turbo 400 trans (all of which were L35 cars). So you can deduce that there were 2550 total 4-speed SS396/325HP Camaros, and not all of those were convertibles! (and probably not half exported into Canada). Since there were 19,856 total V8 convertibles built in 67, perhaps there were 1325 of these exported into Canada?

The 3-speed manual trans was the base transmission, so the 2550 number should indicate manual transmissions. Thus, both the 3-speed and 4-speed transmissions make up the 2550 number. (The 3-speed manual was also the base tranny for the L78.)

The 1325 # is how many V8 convertibles were imported into Canada (though I thought the # was 1315).

You're right Bill, 2550 manual transmission cars - 3 speed, M20, M21 and M22 combined!

...Can you imagine an L78 car with "three on the tree"??...

No.

As far as 4 speeds in Camaros go, M20 only was available with L35, M20, and M21 only with L34, and M20, M21, M22 with L78/L89.

And remember, the L35 and L78 were the only big-blocks available in the '67 Camaro.
