pontiac - 14 inch honeycomb-snowflake rims
 

In a wrecking yard last week end,,found a set of 14 inch honeycomb-snowflake rims,, what year would you have found them and on what cars did they come on , and are they rare and worth picking them up.

There are honeycomb wheels and there are snowflake wheels. Which is it? Here's a photos of my grandmother's firebird with honeycombs. Are these what you are talking about?

Hi steve,,thanx for the quick reply,,,,The wheels are still in the wreckers,,but I remember right the wheels in the picture you posted are not the same ones,,its the snowflakes ( I think) that are at the wreckers..
Are they worth picking up if they are 14 inchers. pacecar

Most 14" wheels like that are not very rare. The ones you may want to watch out for are the gold center 15" that have a recessed center which also will have a Approximate 1" wide lip on the outer wheel before you get to the center. They are 15 x 8 off a HO Trans-am.

The ones in the pic on the Blue Formula 400 are just 7" and are releatively flat out the outer rim.

Those show the value difference between them. The 8" ones are kinda rare. Don't see them often.
