Check out this Vin vs Cowl Tag
Someone tell me if I am wrong about this but Vin series 634XXX is in line with quite a few COPO's but this car has a Non X code 10C Vin tag.
Kurt this is not correct is it? Ebay 69 Camaro |
Re: Check out this Vin vs Cowl Tag
That VIN fits for a car built sometime in mid to late April, not Oct.

That's what I thought as well!

Re: Check out this Vin vs Cowl Tag
634xxx would be late April/early May build. Not all COPO cars were built with consecutive VINs. This was a small block car with a V8 that might have been built the same day as a COPO was, but the 10C in no way comes close to the VIN.
IMO, the trim tag did not come with this car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/shocked.gif However, a photo of the VIN would be helpful. No way this was ever a COPO, and not represented as anything but a nice driver, which it looks like to me. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |
Re: Check out this Vin vs Cowl Tag
ive noticed that you should go by the cowl tag body #s rather than the vin #s when checking for a copo. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

Re: Check out this Vin vs Cowl Tag
I'm thinking maybe it was a typing slip up, and maybe its supposed to read 534xxx. That would put it in that time frame. Plus I dont see why it would be swapped for the tag thats on it (non X, and color change). Doesnt look to have been swapped to me.

Re: Check out this Vin vs Cowl Tag
Tag doesn't line up with 9N534xxx either.
VIN or cowl tag is swapped. |
