1968 Z/28 on eBay
Came accross this car on eBay and thought it was very nice, no docs. to prove its real although there are many factors that lead me to believe it is including the tire pressure sticker in the glove box. What do you think???

Re: 1968 Z/28 on eBay
Although you have to wonder about this statement:
"THIS CAR HAS THE COWL HOOD(8% HAVE THIS)." No 68 Camaro came with the ducted hood. Maybe 8 to 10 percent of the 69 Z's came with it. I also couldn't tell from the picture; are the rear leaf springs 4 leaf or 5? Still, a very nice looking car. Lynn |

Re: 1968 Z/28 on eBay
The only thing I see that is legit for the Z/28 is the glovebox sticker. But then again, how hard is it to change out the glovebox door??
Love that 14x7 70's rally wheel spare combo. Also has the rare 1968 Z/28 tailpanel emblem. Approx. .00001% came with that. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif The write up is actually pretty funny and describes 95% of the cars on ebay. I don't think so! Rick H. |
Re: 1968 Z/28 on eBay
Upon further review....
Boy you guys looked a lot closer than I did. Didn't even see the bogus Z/28 emblem on the rear. Pretty funny. I don't know squat about vin sequence on 68's, but if it is an early production car, should have 302 fender emblems instead of Z/28. That would be a for sure dead giveaway as no one would have swapped those out. Anyone know about when this one was built from the VIN? Lynn |

Lynn [/ QUOTE ] The fender emblems did not change from 302 to Z/28 until March of 1968 and this car is a third week of February car. Sooooo... Look at the lower shock plates on the car. WOW! They are not correct and look like they were made out of old traction bars. Hack job. The half a dozen springs instead of 4 leaf is a good sign. NOT! Ok, I'll say it, that car ain't no Z. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif Rick H. |
Re: 1968 Z/28 on eBay
I originally thought with out a doubt it was a true Z/28, but after reading what some people had to say I am having some second thoughts, thanks for everyones input.

Still might be a Z28. The tire label is a good thing.
