Re: VIntage Racing....ouch!
OUCH!
Make me sick just looking at it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif It's also on the inside back cover of the Dec issue of Hot Rod...the one with the "new" Camaro on the cover. |
Re: VIntage Racing....ouch!
Yes it was discussed here earlier. The TA on top of the pile is Colin's. He is a sponsor of this site.

Re: VIntage Racing....ouch!
Under the TA is a Mid year big block Vette roadster... And a 427 SC Cobra was destroyed... I got to see the in car video from some of the cars in the wreck,,,it was unbelievable...Crash

Re: VIntage Racing....ouch!
The Cobra was a 289, still valuable. I was on the inside of the retaining wall watching my friend with #64 Corvette when the accident took place. Spent the day with him yesterday in Illinois, his car is repaired and he's vintage racing it again.

Re: VIntage Racing....ouch!
The #25 AC Cobra is owned and driven by Fritz Schiffmeyer (IL) and the car is currently being put back into 'racing trim' for next season.

Re: VIntage Racing....ouch!
Sorry, your right his 427 cobra he doesn't race... A friend of mine was ahead of the crash... Watched from the food stand where you can see corner #14 and corner #5... Saw them come up the hill to start, but a long time to get to corner #5 then the race was over...Crash

Re: VIntage Racing....ouch!
That picture leaves me speechless! Can you imagine the
pain of seeing any one of those cars in that condition. To say nothing of the whole lot of them. What a sad development. Anyone know how this happened? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif Steve |
