Steve's Excellent 1969 Trans Am!!
1969 Trans Am
This is one of the 697 TA’s built in 1969 and one of 520 Ram Air III with a 4spd. This car was sold on 11/26/69 at Frank Dreier Pontiac in Flatt River, MO. I have been in contact with all the owners except the original Mark Daniels of Webster, MO. The car having six previous owners is amazingly original and retains all its original components. The car was restored in 2003 by RPM restorations. This is my first Pontiac, and what a Pontiac it is. The car has exceeded my performance expectations in both handling and acceleration. To me the “Pony Car” exemplifies the ultimate performance of that era, by incorporating the largest displacement engines in the smallest/lightest cars. The results are a well balanced car whose performance was not matched for over three decades. I have always liked 69 TA’s because of their unique features and look. I became aware of this car in 1998 and kept in casual contact with the owner. Well, this past spring my perseverance paid off and I purchased the car. Re: Paceme's Excellent 1969 Trans Am!!
Beautiful car. I remember seeing one of those cars come screaming around a bend when I was a kid. The car was in Deal, NJ and I have never forgotten the sight of that thing flying around the curve.
BTW: what are the lines going across the radiator for? |
