Hmmmm..."Location - Highland Park, IL". My guess is it is part of the Joe Bortz collection of Factory Show Cars. He doesn't very often put any up for sale.

Re: 61 Pontiac Prototype on Ebay
Isn't Joe Bortz the guy that was outbid on the 3 mil Olds at Barrett-Jackson ? He should just offer the car to the guy that out bid him.

It is Bortz...

Re: 61 Pontiac Prototype on Ebay
I don't want to get too picky here. Pretty neat car to be sure. Not something I would want even IF I could afford it. However, the following quote from the listing is somewhat curious.
"THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST AMERICAN POST-WAR CONCEPT CARS TO EVER BE OFFERED." Isn't virtually every concept car a one of one. How can this one be more "rare" than the others? Again, not trying to pick the car apart. Just brushing up on my smart a$$ skills so I don't get rusty. Lynn |

Keep in mind that they are trying to sell it. Sales pitches usually contain fluffed-up language in an attempt to maximize profit/emotional response/impulse bidding/etc.
