Correct Water Pump - 1970 L78?
Is the water pump casting number the same for 1970 L78 and LS6 motors?
What would be the correct water pump casting number for a January 1970 L78 Camaro? Thanks in advance for your help, you guys have ALL the knowledge... -SAm |

3931065 casting # for your L78 Sam, including LS6 Chevelles. Late L78's and LS6's also used 3969811.

I believe 3969811 was used from late 1970-72.

The 69 SS396 Camaros also received the 3931065 water pump, which carried over to early built L78's.

The 1970 L-78 & LS-6 used the #811 Waterpump regardless of Car it was installed in,not the #065. #065 was used for engines before the 1970 release,Maybe,Maybe Aug.-Sept. 69 built cars got them,at least from my findings. Your not going to find an #065 dated Dec.69,they stopped making them around May 69?? I have an #811 here I took off an LS-6,dated L 69. |
