My new "barn find" '67 Z-28 :)
1 Attachment(s)
I just picked up this previously unkown '67 Z-28 and thought that I would share a few pics. It is a one-owner, fully documented car with original drivetrain and body panels, etc. It is Butternut Yellow with black stripes and has a number of neat options: Black deluxe interior, console, tach/gauges, am/fm, fold down rear seat, tinted glass, shoulder harness belts, deluxe seat belts, J56 metallic brakes, factory cowl plenum breather and headers. It has had one repaint in the late '70's and was delivered new in AZ.
This is how it was found... |

VERY NICE FIND AND PURCHASE MARK! Glad to see another rare Camaro, such as the 67 Z, saved and going to a good home. It has some nice options too, especially the cowl plenum. Congrats! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Thanks a lot guys https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif I appreciate all of your comments.
Jeff, the car was bought in AZ, went to the UK for 3 years, and then back to FL where I bought it. Yeah Jon, the colors are pretty cool and I love the deluxe interior. Thanks Bruce. No, this isn't that car - this one is real https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif Everything else is getting better...thanks for asking I will share more details when my Fedex pack arrives next week with the 4 file folders of info, pics and receipts! Gotta love one owner cars! The story the owner told me was that he had been to an SCCA race at Limerock and saw the '67 Z's running and fell in love with them. A few weeks later he was at a Chev dealer in Chandler, AZ with a buddy buying an L78 Chevelle. After the deal was done, the sales rep said that since he had made his quota for the month, he could give him a great deal on something and then asked what he wanted. He said a Z-28, but the sales rep had never heard of one. So, they pulled out the order guide and built the car. He said that the list price was about $4,050 and he got it for $3,450 from what he remembered (he has the bill of sale in the pile of papers but didn't double check). In the late 70's he was stationed in the UK and then came back to Florida in '83 and the car has been there ever since. The car was always a street car and never raced. It ran when parked 7 years ago, but will get a fresh rebuild during the resto. I'll post more pics and info once I get them, but here is one more shot showing the extremely rare shoulder harness belts. Thanks again everyone. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif |
