How do you keep red wall tires red
 

I have noticed that the red wall on my tires have become more of a darker red, for cleaning I use a soft brush with a dab of comet and avoid hitting the red line.Is their a way to keep the walls from darkening? Use a stiffer brush, more Comet, and for Heavens sake, scrub the red line! You can't hurt it - that red is 1/8"+ thick (unless it is one of those "paint-on" radial jobs). Really. Scrub those tires! You wouldn't expect the paint to stay clean if you only washed the chrome around it, would you?

The Bleche White works great, too.

Again, Comet and a stiff brush barely affected my F70 Coker redlines. The Bleche-White really worked well, just be sure to follow the instructions on the label and wear gloves. It's pretty caustic stuff. Oh, and it may take several applications to get all the gook off of Cokers.

Anyone try the Mr. Clean thing yet? I might have to go get one and try it out.

Well I finally had a chance to try the Mr. Clean eraser and found that it works extremely well on the interior such as the kick panels, door panels and floor mats. But when used on the red wall tires the eraser seemed to gum up and break apart from the road grime. I did try the westley's tire bleche and found that it works the best when it is spayed on to a dry tire,I couldn't belive how fast it went to work. Considering how great of a job the bleche did I would be willing to pay much more than I did. $3.25 for a 32FL.OZ. Thanks for the tip... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif
