Please.. I cant figure out how to decode this..
 

I have a 1966 Chevelle for sale which is equipped with a 454. It can be viewed at:

I am trying to figure out what kind of motor and what kind of horse power it is pushing but am having a hard time. I pulled some numbers off of the machined part of the block right in front of the water pump on the passenger side just off of the head. Which are:


15J166543
1105XX

If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

That decodes as:
1=Chevrolet
5=1975
J=Janesville Wisconsin plant-They built Big chevies,Passenger Cars.
166543=66543 unit built on line.

Engine built/suffix:
11=November(1974)
05=Day
XX=454/215HP engine w/Automatic trans w/A.I.R.(SMOG)
