*DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
I've got a set of (4) DG 15" rallyes, and I don't know what year/application ???? HELP !

Re: *DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
If they are "DG" coded by the stem they are 14x6. 1967 Camaro application. They are not 15".
I am looking for a set so if you want to sell them please contact me off line. Thanks Rick |
Re: *DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
Nope - - They are definitely 15", and are "DG" coded. They must be post-'69, as that is what I have the documentation for.

Re: *DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
Any chance they're 15x6 "DC"s? They should have K-1-(7,8 or maybe 9) date codes if they are. These would be for '67 Vettes and '67-'69 full size cars. What are the date codes?

Sa hable rally wheel, por favor? http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Flats/8941/Rally.htm https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif |
Re: *DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
I can't find anything in my notes that show a DG wheel as 15" I only show them as 14x6. As mentioned they could be "DC".
Is there any other codes by the stem?" Are the letters "DG" bigger then most other code stamps you might have seen. A couple questions then. How do you know for sure they are 15"? Is there tires on them? DC was used a lot of years. DG was used in 1967. I am still interested if they are 14x6. Rick H. |
Re: *DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
The list is missing a few rally codes. DA, DG, YS are few missing off the list.

Re: *DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
Well lets make this a little more interesting !! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif
I just dug them off the shelf - - and I was partially wrong ... I have 2 *DG* coded 15", and 2 *FW* coded 15"ers.... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif The *DG*'s are 15x6" and the "FW"'s are 15x7". Interestingly enough - - the slots on the two are different sizes ?? I thought it was an optical illusion (or too many beers last nite ..), but I measured them, and sure-enough the slots are different. The *DG*'s slot measures 1 1/8" x 3 1/8" and the *FW*'s slot measures 1" x 3". I can't find a date code on the *DG*'s at all, but the *FW*'s are K-1-5, so the assumption is that they are 1975. Both are Kelsey-Hayes wheels. Go figure https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif So now I have 2 different styles of rallye wheels that I don't know what the application is for ..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif Here's some pix .... http://www.fototime.com/6C7C7442D848D3E/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/8BFEA29DFC2D68A/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/A58B5F3A5535ACE/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/A37E8F367E48701/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/9EA4806F888A02D/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/CB8033B1E166257/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/9DA6BFE0177ED13/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/F14ECC9414D0C05/standard.jpg And "YES", they are 15" rims ....... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif |
Re: *DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
Is there any complete lists of original wheels complete with the codes and dates?? I run across a lot of these at swap and flea markets.

Re: *DG* coded 15" rallyes ?
It is very interesting because that DG stamp looks just like the ones found on the 14x6 Camaro SS rally's with disc brakes. The early ones had no date codes by the stem.
How long have you had the wheels? I got a feeling someone at some time made a set of DG wheels for there car. Look for a code JJ or JK on the inside of the rim. This might help. Look in the bolt hole area for a buld date of some sort as well. I have never hear of a 15" DG coded wheel. DC yes but not DG. DG was also one year only that I know of as well. Rick |
