Red,

For starters, please turn off the 'Caps Lock' on your keyboard and give more info about the car in question.

Thanks.

Re...is it an unusual name ?? If it is you stand a better shot of finding something....I have done internet white pages searches and found some original owners...have you tried that ?

Try a Google search on the name. You may find it has thousands of hits. put the town and state that it is in and I wish you luck. I found my original owner this way last winter. So it can be done. Not easy though.

I came across a document that had his name that was a petion to develop some property and this was a document from the city that he lived in and that helped me to find him.

Good luck this is not easy trust me. I am still looking for my original owner of my 69 Vette.

Re: TRACKING DOWN OWNER

If you have their 1976 address but someone else lives there, you could try looking up the neighbours using an Internet "reverse search by address" website. I sucessfully located an original owner this way -- the neighbour knew where he had moved to and even had a phone #.

I will be sure to add your name to the list that are wanting the same thing to happen. Ed(55chev) is at the top of the list so you should not loose any sleep in antipation of that happening. I doubt he would pass on the ole car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif

Yes, "try all of them"...INCLUDING turning off your 'caps lock', again. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif
