Wanted: Smog setup for '69 302

Looking for a complete smog setup for my '69 Z/28 (minus the exhaust manifolds). Working condition, restored or used is fine.

There are lots of examples all the time on ebay.
Here's a complete unit just listed.

Good luck

There are other people who specialize in smog components.
Greenhoe's Corvette & Bill Hodel are well known people who do this.
They both have adds in Hemmings all the time.
I think they all charge around $1500 for complete restored systems. I might be on the low side.
I think this is a case where ebay is a place to save a few bucks & although the system wouldn't be as "new" as a restored system it all depends on what you're looking for https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Greenhoe is probably the best, also most expensive. I just bought a complete set up for $365.00 for my 69 Z/28. It is awful close, if not exact to a 69 set up until you start reading dates and numbers. I bought a repro deep grove pulley and cleaned it up and it looks great to display with my day-2 Z. It really does look very nice with not much invested. Has the white fan and spins freely. You are right mix and match on e-bay for this junk anyhow. Remember when ASL in Sparks Nevada was offering these systems back in the late 80's,early 1990's.
Very close to original, and at a 3rd of what todays prices are at.I see some of their old stuff sell on Ebay for near 1K today!

I think the principle of ASL is still in buisness.
Not sure of what his name is.
I heard he does excellent restorations.
Does anyone know this guy? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

I have a friend with an original early take off. Been in a box since 1969. I remember it as being pristine, but I'd have to check. I don't know how much he wants, but he knows the value. He passed on a $1300 offer 4-5 years ago. Depends if you are looking for "close" or "correct"
If you are interested let me know, and I'll check with him. Don't know the dates, but I know it's a May car.

When I needed some parts for an LT-1 Corvette I had, all of my NCRS buddies recommended Bill Hodel. I spoke with him and he is a very nice/very knowledgeable guy - I'd give him or Jerry a shout. I remember a thread a few years ago on the NCRS site about Dorfman thinking about getting back in the bus, but don't know if that occurred. IIRC, a bad divorce ended his business?
