hot rod mag zl1 test car
 

i was just going through my old hot rod mags and ran across an article on a zl1 drag-test does anyone know what #zl1 this was??? it is dark blue with what looks to be black int with a column shifted t-400. the funny part of the story is that they tried to nuetral-drop the car on the first two passes going up in smoke!!!!! the best pass of the day was by harrell a 11.64 @122.5 mph!!!

You must be talking about the article from Super Stock Magazine May 1969. That is the same ET list in the article I have here. 1, 2 and 5 were automatics and sold thru Gibb. A Dusk Blue ZL-1 with Dick Harrell driving wouldn't that be #2? Number 1 is the car with the graphics. This is how I understand it. Am I right?

i think you are because they call the color of the car in the article sunoco blue which is very dark. also the press usually gets to try out very early cars. thanks for the help. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif
