Mag with 69 BM Chevelle in it goes for 122.50 and to think I thought I was bidding high when I went to 34.99!!!!

Just check eBay weekly and be patient. Another copy will surface and you'll score it for a few bucks. This one probably went so high because of the way the guy listed it--it grabbed attention. Look at the auctions that have several issues in one sale and remember this cover. Believe me, I've scored a few of these old Cars issues and some go stupid-high and then a few weeks later no one bids.

Just have to keep looking at the Ebay auctions. This one got nuts though but I did get the 68 BM Chevelle Mag i was trying for, for $20

Wow, glad I already have those. I have most of the HP Cars Mags from '67-'74. I'd found the best deals by buying them in lots or groups and archiving the ones that I needed. It may be time to sell some of the duplicates....I'll check my inventory.
There is also a guy named Robert Broz (sp?) who runs a small shop in St. Paul about 5-6 blocks south of University at 155 N Snelling. He easily has 5 digits worth of older auto publications. Very nice guy who used to focus mainly on the swap meet circuit but opened the doors of his shop a couple of years back. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

it sold that high because the idiot was shill bidding it in other words bidding it high himself 2 ebay names and I was the idiot that bought it ...and guess what, he never sent it to me or returned my emails it's looking like PayPal will return me the money and I have no magazine ....i'll pay someone 50 bucks for a copy ...I wanted the mag for my Dad said it would make a good Birthday Gift so I bid high on it and lost anyway ... if it has Motion and Chevelle in the same sentence I try for it I did see the other motion mags and passed them up
My Dad did own a Motion Chevelle years ago when i was a kid but made the Big Mistake alot of others did and traded them up/down for a MOPAR and has been kicking himself ever since and Yes we are looking for pictures of the car for me to post them. I driven out to Long Island many times looking and sometimes bringing home parts,books,pictures and as much information on finding one of those cars.
Funny thing is the guys that work at the old Motion building knew less than most of the people I talked too out there about Motion though very nice guys and they did point me in the right direction on finding what ever i was looking for ...I have to say the well is getting dry.
