Engine sleeves?, rebuild?
Has anyone ever re-sleeved an engine, all cylinders? Did you have any problems? Or anyone sleeve any number of cylinders? Just looking for some good feedback, pro's and con's. Thanks,Roger

Re: Engine sleeves?, rebuild?
One of my SCCA B/P small blocks had to be sleived and it runs dam fast and gives no problems. Kinda expensive but if you need that block for the S/N then it will be worth it. Just be sure that you have it done by someone with a fixture that bores it using the mains as a guide to get them located correctly.

sleeves are very strong when installed properly. I've sleeved entire blocks for people many times. i get 100.00
per hole for the sleeve and installation. if you have that matching block you can save it ! really you should tru the decks when done but if you are lucky it wont take much to clean them up and your original number stamps might still be visible! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif my 2 cents worth... steve |

------Sleeving is perfectly acceptable if done correctly as already stated. As well,I feel that the sleeving should be divulged at the time of sale. It is an important aspect that needs to be known by any purchaser........Bill S
