Shock I.D. ?

I've been doing some digging and prodding on the 'ole Biscayne. I'm fairly confident that the front shocks are the originals, but wanted to run the numbers by you guys to get your opinion. I'm in-ept when it comes to shock I.D.

Heres how they read:

[b]PLIACELL
3 9 811 311 67 BOTTOM
DELCO PRODUCTS DAYTON, OHIO USA

Casey
I believe 39811 is the part number?
311 is the day of the year.
67 is the year it was produced.

Re: Shock I.D. ?

I agree with Mr70, except there should be 6 digits in the part number. By 67 most shocks have 7 digits that start with 317, 318, or 319.

I did have one in my list with 6 digits but thought is might be a typo "318294 dated 262 68 for 69 Chevelle Rear"
