02 ZL1 Article CHP magazine
Great article in the Novemeber issue Chevy High Performance magazine. In my opinion much better than the article that recently came out in Hot Rod magazine.

Re: 02 ZL1 Article CHP magazine
Wasn't this the article that said that all 69 '02 ZL1s had 427 engines?
I believe it was. Also, if you notice, they used the Hot Rod pic of Jim Parks #18 car (with the hockey stick stripe) for the cover photo and didn't give credit to him or his car when through the rest of the article they used Matt Berger's #23 car (without a hockey stick stripe). Don't get me wrong. I too enjoyed the article is just that there were some inconsistencies. |
Re: 02 ZL1 Article CHP magazine
A much better article was just brought to my attention this afternoon. It is in the October 2003 issue of MuscleCar Enthusiast and written by Barry Kluczyk. Has lots of good information that "seems" to be all very factual from what I personally know about my car and the others.

Re: 02 ZL1 Article CHP magazine
JD,
I know what you mean about the inconsistencies of the photos. I still prefer the CHP article. I did not like the tone of the writter ( scarcasism etc ) in Hot Rod. I'm waiting for my October issue of Muscle Car. I own #47 02 Phase III. Regards, Steve |
Re: 02 ZL1 Article CHP magazine
Steve, I think you'll like the article written in MuscleCar Enthusiast the best. I know I did. I thought it was well written and had more facts and numbers than any other article I have read.
Send me a P.M. and tell me about your Phase III. Always interesting to hear about others cars (i.e., dealer purchased from, options, color, etc.) |

Re: 02 ZL1 Article CHP magazine
if the numbers are all kept under raps, what well keep someone from someday faking 1, that is what i ment by publishing all the numbers. all the serial numbers for the ZL1'S were published along time ago and you don't see people claiming to have a real one that is a fake, because we would all know it. so if the numbers were published it would help every one of us from someday buying a fake!!!!!!!!
