Ken Barnhart's car in SS-DR the Family Sedan
 

I finally finished reading the Super Stock - Drag Racing the Family Sedan while on vacation. I believe I can see Ken's ZL1 in the background of one of the car pics, anyone else notice this? I'll recheck the page number tonight.

Yep,page 196 behind Strick and Ronnie.......Is that Ken leaning on his car? Hard to tell...

Yes Stefano mentioned this picture awhile back,then I mentioned it after he did in a recent reference thread.

I'm slow, sorry! I had a few moments of peace while Benjamin was napping at the shore house - finally got to the end of the book.

Somebody find me one of those 3 '63 fastback Novas from Bill Thomas! I know the Allen Green car is still out there, it was in Hemmings about 5 years ago.

That book is phenominal, I've read it twice in the past year. If you haven't had the chance to read it, check w/ Amazon.com...I found it used for about 1/2 the retail price. Another one that I can't say enough good things about is the old 'Petersen's History of Drag Racing' (1981). I got my 1st copy of that one at the age of 11 and wore through it's bindings in about 2 years. They're kind of pricey but attainable via eBay and Amazon's used sources. It's not as specific as the S/S book but an unreal source of info/pics if anyone's interested in that.
