Power Steering Pump

I have seen several types of power steering pump reservoirs all claiming to be correct for 69 b/b. Some had the return line coming out the bottom of the reservoir, some had it coming out the lower middle area of the back of the reservoir, and bends around the high pressure fitting.
Are they different between applications (Camaro vs Chevelle, L72 vs L78, vs L34/35)
Can someone tell me which is correct for L72 Camaro.

Re: Power Steering Pump

It is a weird one. The return line exits out the side of the pump tank not the back as most do.

JoeC, Thanks for the info. Are they all the same for 69 b/b, or just certain applications?

I believe all 69 BB PS pumps were the same but not 100% sure and think it was 69 only.

Re: Power Steering Pump

I believe it is a 69 only pump as well, my original 70BB pump comes out the back and curves around the high press line, believed to be original, still had the 1105 DG pulley rusted on to it.

Re: Power Steering Pump

Mine also comes out the back of the pump and not the side.

I have a picture of another May built '70 Nova SS power steering pump and it is the same as the one on my Oct. 69 built '70 Nova.
