Re: VintagePics
I've seen guys that want to get out of a marriage in a hurry but that is one heck of a car to get anywhere including into a marriage in a hurry!

Re: VintagePics
That's not all the short guy did in a hurry. Not too long after that picture he was racing Ferrari Formula 1 cars. Should have been Canada's first F1 World Champion, but he was killed in '82. Just so happens his son Jacques became Canada's first Champion driving for Williams the year after he jumped from CART as the reigning Indy 500 winner. The whole family was damn fast on a snowmobile too.

Re: VintagePics
Garnet I was going to ask about the Jacques angle but thought it would be a dumb question and too far fetched....cool.

Re: VintagePics
There was another Jacques, brother to Gilles and uncle to Jacques the F1 driver (now struggling with BAR), who also drove in CART for a while but he never seemed to have the flair of the other side of the family. He might have been the best snowmobile racer of all though.

Re: VintagePics
This Boss429 was owned by a good friend of Gilles.
Gilles was a fan about Mustangs. |
