I came across a picture of a Nalley/Nicholson '62 Bel Air Post coming off the line in a 1963 issue of Hot Rod the other night. Hubert Platt was the pilot. Not sure who was running the Bubble Top.

Here's why I ask ....

This is a pic of a B/W picture that the woman I am dating brought over to my house the other night ! Her dad was involved with the Ramchargers and has all kinds of these B/W photos ! Notice the eerie similarity of the two pictures - - the poles, the starting beams ....... And a FLAGMAN !! Too cool - - I may have to keep her around for a little while ....... Very cool Casey! Keep the scanner warm for us. I'm currently reading "Super Stock" (Larry Davis p.63) and there's a great pic
of Nicholson's (Nicholson/Nalley) 62 Z-11 after passing NHRA tech inspection for the '63 Nationals...it was classed B/FX
w/ the alum front end and Z-11 engine parts released in the late summer of 62. (man, things were different back then
.) The reason that I was scrutinizing the pics you had posted so hard was the fact that they didn't match up w/ the
pic that I had from this book...showing this car w/ large crossed chevy flags on the door and different lettering throughout.
The pic that I have (via the book) is from a few months later in the cars' career and thusly was lettered/decalled
differently. Show us what you get.
Thanks,
-Mark
