Discovered a cleaner for intakes

I brought home a can of Electro Wash from work and thought I would try it for spot cleaning the manifold and carb while still on the engine. It works great! it is called a "precision cleaning agent and degreaser for all electronic equip". We purchased it from our computer supplier. I figured that if it was safe to use on hitec stuff it would be OK on engine parts! It is made by Chemtronics, Inc. Jim

I had my G.M. manifold and Muncie case SHOT BLASTED with fine steel shot.....Took above parts to a cylinder head business that specializes in foreign car aluminum cyl head rebuilding. They have a conveyor style machine that they pass bare heads thru(after cleaning/degreasing) to cosmetically restore the appearance.
I'm under the belief that many NEW aluminum cast parts are shot blasted at the foundry to remove slag, etc......anyway just my .02 Chuck
