1969 Yenko Chevelle
I am scheduled to examine a restored 1969 Yenko Chevelle on Friday, 16 Aug 2002. I am being asked to verify if it is in fact a true Yenko or a clone. There is supposed to be paperwork proof of it's originality. I am a Corvette
guy with limited background on Yenko's. I am comfortable with documenting a normal 1969 Chevelle but the Yenko part is what I need. What would I look for in original paper work linking the car to Yenko? Proof positive sort of thing since documents can be forged. I will look for a block casting date ending in "8" or "9". Three digit date code on the holley ending in same numerals. How many automatics were made? Is there a web site with this stuff posted. If car is true Yenko what is value range? $50K to $75K or $30k to $50K ? [email protected] |
Re: 1969 Yenko Chevelle
Does the car have its original build sheet? If so, it will show a COPO Chevelle delivered to Yenko.

Re: 1969 Yenko Chevelle
I could also be a Douglass Yenko Chevelle and the build sheet would show a COPO delivered to Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale, Illinois.
