New to Board

I have a 68 Camaro RS/SS 396/375 horse that was originally purchased in at Courtesy Chevrolt in San Jose, CA. I have an invoice dated late in 69 that has a Dick Harrell stamp on the top of the work order with an insignia of the dealership.

I am unsure if this was how they did things. I though Harrell was back east somewhere. The invoice shows installation of headers and a Sun 10K tach and a high volume oil pump.

I really do not know how to start to research this other than contacting the dealership in San Jose. Hopefully your board will grow. I will let people know on Camaro's.net Good luck
Dino

Can you post a scan of the invoice?

Dino; Here is what information we have. Courtesy Chevrolet(s), there were several, were one of Dick's major sponsers in '68 and '69. Their name(shield) can be seen on the side of many of Dick's cars, including his funny cars, during that era. Their emblem was a sheild, much like the one Yenko and Harrell used. Also, during that period, Dick's shop was located in Kansas City. I do not see how Dick's shop could have done the work on your car, if the car was sold in CA, but anything is possible. I would suggest contacting the dealer, as Dick Harrell is deceased (1971). Good luck and keep us imformed. Tom @ sYc
