"Vette" Magazine, Jan 2002 issue, page 40, article title "The Awakening": This is one of the coolest articles that I have ever read, the story of "Astoria Chas" and his "Ko-Motion" Corvette. There are guys in this group that love Motion cars and there are guys who are not big Motion fans, EVERYBODY will like this article. Check it out, you will love it.

Andrew,

Agreed, the article is very good.

The car isn't too bad either... I had a chance to look at it at Carlisle in August and was very impressed (I'm partial to old racecars as it is).

I certainly wouldn't mind parking it in my garage! https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I'm not a Corvette enthusiast as much as I like Chevelles. But I bought this magazine just fot that article.
We should all be so lucky to find our one and only dream car that way.Virtually untouched for 32 years.
This is an incredible story, and as Andrew stated,"One of the Coolest articles I have ever read".
This car really has 1969 Air in the Tires! https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I TOO READ THE ARTICLE. GREAT STORY. I ALSO HAVE A MINT 1968 CARS MAGAZINE(WHO HELPED SPONSOR THE CAR) WITH THE STORY ON THIS CAR WHEN IT WAS NEW. THE LAST PARAGRAPH READS " WE HOPE THAT BY THE TIME CHAS COMES BACK FROM VIET NAM WE'LL BE ABLE TO PRESENT HIM WITH SOMETHING NICE, LIKE A NATIONAL RECORD!" I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE THIS MAGAZINE TO THE PRESENT OWNER. DOES ANYONE ON THE BOARD HAVE CONTACT WITH HIM?

Not to nit-pick or anything, but would you mind taking the "caps lock" off please? I noticed one of the Charleys (Lillard I think?) corrected a new user a couple of days ago, so I thought I would beat him to the punch, since I am supposed to be keeping an eye out for things like that! Nothing major, just most boards consider all caps as yelling https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif.
