It's perfect for any collection including a museum, garage, man cave or place of business. From the information gathered this children's ride was manufactured by the Carousel International Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri in the late 1960's in the style of a speedboat. It was professionally restored and completed in 2017. It was redesigned in the style of a Chris-Craft Sportsman Speedboat. It's in show quality condition throughout. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased this piece in July of 2025 and it's been displayed in the showroom. March of 2026 is the first time it's been listed for sale. The body was stripped and prepped to be straighter then it was originally. The top portion of the boat was decorated with African mahogany wood for a realistic appearance. The bottom portion of the boat was refinished in red. The paint is automotive grade quality. A white water line stripe divides the wood trim and red paint. The deck was accented with white trim and striping for a realistic appearance. Some of the features include aluminum upper hull trim, chrome-polished rope cleats, a flag-pole mount and dual exhaust outlets. An operational navigation light is fitted on the bow. The forward cabin features a single seat upholstered with red vinyl with a white-pleated center section together with red side panels and carpeting. The red three-spoke steering wheel has a silver hub that fronts a wood dash with a push button located on the right side that activates a speaker system that plays the theme song from the T.V. Show Miami Vice. The rear cabin has a rear-facing seat with matching red and white upholstery. The metal base was stripped, prepped and refinished in white. It was decorated with red Chris-Craft Boat Co. graphics and fitted with an electric motor. Caster wheels were installed on the front end to making moving it simple. It was outfitted with a new coin box mechanism that's attached to a side mounted pole. The coin cox and pole were painted white to match the base. It accepts 10-cent coins to activate the 90-second ride. It was also outfitted with a new 110-volt power cord. The ride measures approximately 69” long, 42” tall and 28” wide. |
